About this Project

【What's ASIA?】is the project that will introduce Japanese culture or stuffs existing in Asia region by the university student from Japan. I just want to let Japanese people know about the goodness and attraction of Japan what they don't know through the connection between Japan and their countries.

 

In 2014

 

August:Departure from Japan to Vietnam aiming at Myanmar.

 

September:Into India.

 

October:Back to Japan. Go to Kyoto.

 

November:To Philippines.

 

 

In 2015

 

April:Temporary return to Tokyo.

 

Until Sep:Stay in Philippines.

 

October:Return to Japan.

 

What to Do

 

 

This project "What's ASIA" aims at letting Japanese people know about what is Japanese culture and stuffs acting like.

 

Through social media, I'm going to broadcast about my travel via photos, videos, and texts.

 

This project will transmit the contents across below three policy.

 

  • How Japanese culture lives in Asia.

  • What points of Japan are focused on by people there?

  • What should Japan change to become?

 

 

 

Who is the Traveler

 

 

 

 

The traveler is me, Wataru SAKATA, the university student in Tokyo, Japan. Major in Journalism.

 

I'm 20, and will turn to 21 this September. Have been engaged in a volunteer for restoration of Tohoku Region in Japan dameged by the East Japan Great Earthquake. 

 

But also interested in the international society, poverty and education issues all over the world. So I've wanted to go and see what is going on in Asia region.

 

That's why I'm plannning to travel.
